Black Water Security Releases Internal Memo Leaked by Former Duetsche Bank Employee Shedding Light On Possible Money Laundering Scandal

In response to the release of the Mueller Report earlier this afternoon, a group of intelligence contractors known as “Black Water Security” published a copy of a leaked memo provided to them by a former Deutsche Bank employeewhom apparently quit after receiving a copy of this very memo nearly two and a half years ago, and whom decided to go public about it after questioning the results of the redacted release of the Mueller Investigation here today.

In a statement to Rogue Media Labs, Black Water Security explained how “a bank’s AFC (anti-financial crime) regulation is meant to stop the bank from participating in laundering the proceeds of illegal activity.” Adding that “Through our contact with an employee at Deutsche Bank USA, we have learned that senior global management officials within the bank were involved in actively relaxing the internal policy of the bank when it comes to financial dealings with Russia. This particular memo was sent in response to an associate of my source flagging a transaction involving VTB Group, which is 60% owned by the Russian government.

Upon researching the incidents in question a little further, I managed to stumble upon record of a December 2016 publication revealing how Deutsche Bank attempted to sell off a $600 million dollar loan from VTB Group, the same group mentioned in the November 25th memo below, before ultimately failing to do so – managing only to sell off $300 million dollars of it to a Russian bank known as Alfa Bank. After sharing this information back with the source of the leak, Black Water Security stated that”Given the dates in comparison to the memo, it seems the memo may have had the intention to mask possible laundering of money to pay off the VTB loan. Or to prevent internal scrutiny (whistleblowers) from flagging the loan.” Essentially, Deutsche Bank just wanted to sell off the loan as quickly as possible and didn’t care how Russia raised the money to do so – which is certainly interesting information in its own right.

Senator Markey (D-MA) Introduces The Consumer Privacy Bill of Rights Act To US Congress

Last Friday, April 12th 2019, Senator Edward Markey (D-MA) introduced a new piece of legislation referred to as the “Privacy Bill of Rights Act” – aiming to enforce set a new standards surrounding electronic data and consumer privacy that rivals the freedoms/protections guaranteed to Americans by the traditional Bill of Rights when this country was first formed. According to Senator Markey himself, the bill would formally establish “rules for both online and offline companies and bans the use of individuals’ personal information for harmful, discriminatory purposes, such as housing and employment advertisements targeted based on demographics like race and gender. It also includes cybersecurity standards and provides the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) with rulemaking authority.

Truth be told, the new bill is actually a combination of 3 bills which have all previously failed to pass US Congress, including President Obama’s Consumer Privacy Bill of Rights Act of 2015 (CPBORA), Mr. Markey’s Customer Online Notification for Stopping Edge-provider Network Transgressions Act of 2018 (CONSENT), and Ro Khanna’s Internet Bill of Rights Act of 2018. Despite previous failures however, Mr. Markey has decided to re-introduces the measures in “the wake of a series of revelations about myriad companies sharing consumers’ personal information without their consent, as well as unauthorized breaches of the data of hundreds of millions of consumers.” Consequentially, this is also why Markey believes the bill may now finally come to fruition.

More specifically, Markey’s bill:

  • Prohibits companies from using individuals’ personal information in discriminatory ways
  • Requires companies to protect and secure the personal information that they hold
  • Establishes a centralized FTC website that tells consumers about their privacy rights and requires companies to use easy to read short-form notices provided directly to consumers
  • Ensures companies collect only the information they need from consumers in order to provide the requested services
  • Enables State Attorneys General to protect the interest of their residents and bring action against companies that violate the privacy rights of individuals. Individuals will also have a private right of action empowering them to defend their own privacy rights.

Satire/Op-Ed: Prepare for Tomorrows Rainbow Zombie Unicorn Invasion from Mars!

Yesterday I came across an article that I think presents the perfect opportunity to explain how irresponsible it is to report on leaked documents, without publishing said documents along with your report – and not the other way around. What I mean to say is that it seems like some major publishers around the internet try to stay as far away from leaks as humanly possible, believing that leaked documents are highly unethical, immoral or illegal in nature. Still others will report on leaks, but choose to keep the leaked documents redacted from the general public. For the purposes of this article, from the perspective of someone willing to publish anything and everything, these are the types of publishers I would like to address or draw attention to here today.

Truth be told, I was first inspired to write this article today after seeing an article in Express.co.uk yesterday, allegedly reporting on leaked documents “seen by The Sunday Times” the day beforehand. I put that wording in quotations specifically because, conspicuously absent from the “reports” on the leaked documents in both publications was the leaked documents themselves 🤔.

https://twitter.com/AgentGB1/status/1117414646426816512

In response to the article and the man whom shared it with me, I made the snide remarks “In other news, in leaks seen by Rogue Media Labs, rainbow zombie unicorns from Mars are set to invade tomorrow!” It was obviously a joke of course, but I was also being serious. I used it as an opportunity to explain how irresponsible it is to report on leaked documents without actually showing said documents. The way I look at the situation, none of these stories have any validity without them. For example, why should anyone believe what these authors, reporters or sources have to say about the situation? How can we be certain they weren’t just written by some extremist Christian Zionist pretending to be ISIS in order to keep the public in fear? How can we ensure the information is even real or authentic? Why should anyone believe the words of this reporter, because they said so?

It’s quite literally impossible for anyone to validate the reports without anyone seeing the documents for ourselves, which is why I find this type of reporting incredibly reckless and irresponsible. I get why some publishers do this though. For example, I can almost guarantee the Express.co.uk reporters in question omitted these documents because they thought it might be too dangerous/extreme to include in the article first place. In this way, they actually see their reporting as moral/ethical, even though I still believe the exact opposite. Still other publishers, such as Reuters, refuse to publish leaks or link to other sources of news in their documents for the “prestige“of it all; they want their readers to believe they are the top of the internet food chain and are so “fancy-pants” that they are privy to information no one else is – nah nah 😛

As I’ve already stated, I get why these publishers do this – I just don’t understand it. The way I look at it, the whole reason for owning a news site and wasting so much time writing is so that I can educate the public and give them as much information as humanly possible when it comes to issues/events making the news. This is the disconnect I feel/see with other news reporters, which is why I do what I do here at Rogue Media Labs. It’s almost funny in a way, some people think it’s unethical for me to publish so many raw leaks to the public, while I think it is arrogant and irresponsible not to. The way I look at it, if you do not have the balls to publish leaked documents for yourself, you are either hiding something, have a deliberate agenda, or scared. Either way, if you are not willing to openly publish leaked documents, you should probably just stay away from writing about them in the first place – yeah? After-all, this game isn’t for everyone.

None of us are getting out alive.”

US Department of Justice Releases Full Indictment of Julian Assange

This article will be short and sweet, straight to the point. I’m not exactly how it got lost in all of the commotion over the course of the last 24 hours, but the United States Department of Justice did release a full copy of their indictment against Julian Assange Thursday morning – April 11th 2019. According to their press release, Julian Assange is officially being charged with “conspiracy to commit computer intrusion for agreeing to break a password to a classified U.S. government computer.” More specifically, “the indictment alleges that in March 2010, Assange engaged in a conspiracy with Chelsea Manning, a former intelligence analyst in the U.S. Army, to assist Manning in cracking a password stored on U.S. Department of Defense computers connected to the Secret Internet Protocol Network (SIPRNet), a U.S. government network used for classified documents and communications.

Original 2010 US Army Leak: https://wardiaries.wikileaks.org/

Essentially, US Courts will attempt to argue that Manning was only influenced to continuing hacking/leaking classified documents upon the orders or encouragement of Assange – making him a co-conspirator in the act. If not this, then her actions were being deliberately dictated by Assange himself. Interestingly enough, the indictment seems to absent of any sexual abuse or harassment charges or allegations – such as were accidentally leaked to the public in November 2018.

Op-Ed: The Upcoming Trial of Julian Assange Is Much More Than A Court Case, It’s A Symbol of Our Time

I’m not exactly sure what it is I’m feeling today, but I fundamentally believe that humanity/society is on the verge of reaching a critical turning point in time/history – a time when we are all collectively going to have to decide if the internet is a tool for good or for bad? Perhaps it’s my past, perhaps it was the arrest of Julian Assange yesterday after 8 years of asylum, perhaps it was news that the President of Sudan resigned just weeks after the President of Algeria, perhaps its the result of all my coverage into “fake news” laws/regulations in countries such as France, China, Jordan, Iraq, Canada, Ethiopia and others, all while state run propagandists organizations like the Institute for State craft and Mossad receive millions/billions in taxpayer funding to do the same – or perhaps still maybe it’s a result of ACTA2 and Copyright reform protests around Europe.

I don’t know and I cant quite say for certain, but I can’t help but feel that humanity/society is on the cusp of something major right now – something revolutionary that will dictate all of our collective freedoms and futures. However, the questions I think we all need to ask ourselves is if we are on the right side of history? Are we all looking out for our own collective best interests/futures?

Unfortunately, I believe that whatever this answer is or may be ultimately boils down to politics and political opinion. It seems to have started with extremist liberals in 2015/2016, but has seemingly infected the entire world ever since. For as bizarre a phenomenon as it was, US liberals/globalists in support of Obama/Clinton in 2015 actually subscribed to the notion that everyone must feel, believe and think the same thing about everyone, everything and every issue – almost literally. The idea that anyone whom did not subscribe to their logic or ideologies should be banned, blacklisted, censored or ousted from society. In other words, “it takes a village” and in order for organized society to work there is no room for dissent, and we must all be working together, on the same page and headed in the same direction – right Hillary? In fact, this attempted homogenization of opinion/society is exactly what led to the rise of the alt-right and other conservative extremists over that same time period – one form of extremism resulting in another, symmetrically.

My Video – State of American Politics 2015/2016:

Believe it or not, I still see this same phenomenon today in the arrest of Julian Assange – only in a somewhat different context. I see it in the re-jailing of Chelsea Manning a week before that and the jailing of Reality Winner a few weeks before that. It’s in the in the Mueller investigations of 2017/2018 and the Comey investigations of 2015/2016 before that. What I’m talking about is the weaponizing of political opinion. The arrogant and self-centered notion that it’s not alright for anyone to disagree with your personal opinions, beliefs or political ideology, and that anyone bold enough to do so must be investigated and/or punished to the full extent of your capabilities/authority – at least if you are the one’s currently in charge/power, that is.

The way I look at it, all across the world, its almost as if society/humanity is waging a political War against itself. It’s not only here in the US, its in the Macron Yellow Vests protests in France, all the Brexit nonsense in the the UK, the Turkish elections of 2019 – so on and so forth. In our modern time politics hasn’t just become a matter of intellectual discussion/debate anymore, it has become a weapon of War to be wielded – both literally and figuratively, foreign and domestic.

But ask yourself, who is this War really empowering? Whom is this War really punishing?

Macron is a multimillionaire President – while thousands of citizens have been arrested, dozens blinded and dozens more losing limbs. Donald Trump is still a billionaire/President of the United States, Bill and Hillary Clinton are still worth hundreds of millions in their own right and only their cronies/minions have been arrested – all while US citizens fight, hate and protest one another in the streets because of their words/policies.

On top of this, the Main Stream Media has never been more influential or profitable than it is today, and in 2019 the MSM has only continued to use their platforms to perpetuate belligerence and political Wars throughout society. We see this every night on Fox News and CNN and this also includes includes the publishing/peddling of the PropOrNotList in 2016, the Google Blacklisting’s of 2017 and Facebook/Twitter purges of 2018 – crippling the platforms of hundreds of small time online news startups, limiting competition, spitting in the face of free speech and freedom of the press while increasing the traffic/profit margins of legacy news publishers.

In our modern hatred for our political rivals, when I look around society all I see is people cutting off their own noses to spite their faces – so to speak. In their own political hatreds, people appear blind to fact that we are all collectively shooting ourselves in the foot. Not only have hundreds of online news platforms been shut down and/or banned offline, including some of my own creations, but people are actually now celebrating the arrest of Julian Assange and others like him. This is also much more symbolic than people understand/realize.

Say what you want about the man or his journalism, the fact of the matter is that everything Julian Assange has ever published 100% cut and dry real, factual material/information. Honestly, can Fox News, CNN, The Washington Post or New York Times claim this? Of course not! For God’s sake, even the Washington Post has to retract the PropOrNotList of 2016, months after the damage from it had already been done. Meanwhile, Julian Assange has never released a single “opinion piece” with his leaks, has never taken a deliberate political stand either direction and not a single one of his leaked documents has ever proven to be fabricated. Whether you like him or not, all Julian Assange did was publish real news/evidence and show people the truth.  Yet, Assange is the man society is after? Why? And what is the point?

I’m not sure what I have to say to make society understand, but I can’t help but feel as though we are on the precipice of something large here. In our blind hatred for our political rivals and in our rabid desire to shut them up, we are destroying our own individual freedoms and liberties, whilst simultaneously censoring free speech and spitting in the face of independent journalism. Society has become so shortsighted, it’s almost as if people do not understand or realize that power is temporary or relative. Sure you can pass laws in the here and now to silence your rivals while you are still in power, but what happens 2, 5, 10 years from now when someone else is in power? Congratulations, in your blind hatred you’ve just now censored yourself as well.

I just don’t understand why people in society have become so arrogant, wreckless and belligerent with their own political ideologies, and I don’t know what to say to make them understand how dangerous we have all become to one another and our collective futures as a result. The more I learn/consume, the more f*cked of a place the world feels or seems to be – if not in reality, then certainly in mentality. I don’t know what to do to educate society, I do not know what to say to make more people care or understand, and I certainly don’t know how to combat ignorance, racism, sexism and political extremism on all levels. The worst part is I don’t think people would even care enough to listen or learn even if I did. All I know is that much sooner than latter, before it’s too late, before we lose our rights to do so, society is going to have to make some serious decisions – decisions which threaten to hand over all of our freedoms and rights to Government regulation and large multinational conglomerates if we are not more careful.

Chinese Government Proposes New Legislation Banning Bitcoin Mining Inside Countries Borders

While the country has historically grappled with the “legality” of owning of possessing, new measures being put forth by the Chinese Government would ban the mining of Bitcoin entirely within their borders. It is a generally known fact that China is considered the Bitcoin mining capital of the world at the present moment in time and as a previous article of mine has once explained, the longer Bitcoin as a currency exists, the more expensive it becomes. Likely, this very fact is the same reason why China’s legislature has come to this conclusion – to save wealth and to save on future power consumption, whilst also cracking down on corruption, money laundering and hack all at the same time. A win, win, win for China’s Government – so to speak.

According to a press release from China’s Economic Planning Agencyvirtual currency mining activities [including] the production process of Bitcoin” to a list of industries that could be shut down.” Their rational centers around (1) the power consumption consumed by Bitcoin farms and (2), an increased level awareness surrounding the rise of C02 pollution caused by Bitcoin farms. For the time being, the  National Development and Reform Commission has yet to announce a final date when the ban may come into effect, and has given the general public until May 7th to express their comments/concerns over this matter.

Court Rules Criminal Complaint Against UK Parliament for Arming Saudi Arabia In Yemen Civil War Can Move Forward

(HRW) – Human Rights Watch, Amnesty International, and RW UK intervened in a court case beginning today that is challenging the United Kingdom’s continued sale of arms to Saudi Arabia. The case is being heard by the Court of Appeal for three days starting on April 9, 2019.

Copy of Criminal Case Against UK: https://www.hrw.org/sites/default/files/supporting_resources/ngos_challenge_saudi_arms_sale.pdf

The landmark case, brought by the UK-based Campaign Against Arms Trade (CAAT), seeks to establish that the UK government is breaking its own arms export licensing criteria by continuing to sell weapons to Saudi Arabia, given the clear risk that the weapons would be used to commit serious violations of international humanitarian law in Yemen. The High Court in London dismissed the case in 2017, but the Campaign Against Arms Trade won the right to appeal, and the three groups, along with Oxfam, again received permission to intervene.

The UK government says it has very rigorous arms controls, yet weapons continue to be sold to Saudi Arabia despite considerable evidence of Saudi-led coalition abuses in Yemen,” said Clive Baldwin, senior legal adviser at Human Rights Watch. “This case is a key opportunity to make sure that the UK rules on arms sales are being properly applied to Saudi Arabia.” The three organizations are intervening to address the meaning of the term “clear risk” of a serious violation of international humanitarian law, which governs when arms sales should not take place. They also intend to set out the importance for the UK government and other decision-makers to take into consideration research and reports on the abuses in the war in Yemen by the United Nations and by nongovernmental groups.

Since the coalition began its aerial campaign in Yemen in March 2015, the UK has licensed at least £4.7 billion (US$6.1 billion) worth of arms sales to Saudi Arabia. Human Rights Watch researchers have regularly visited Yemen and documented the use of weapons, including weapons made in the UK, in strikes that appeared to be unlawful. The UN, Human Rights Watch, Amnesty International, and Yemeni rights groups have repeatedly documented unlawful attacks by the coalition that have hit homes, markets, schools, and hospitals, and killed and wounded many civilians.

Since 2016, Human Rights Watch has called for all countries to end arms sales to Saudi Arabia until the Saudi-led coalition ends its unlawful attacks and credibly investigates those that have already occurred. A growing number of European countries have halted sales of weapons to Saudi Arabia, including Germany, the Netherlands, and Austria.

The organizations are represented by Deighton Pierce Glynn, Jemima Stratford QC, Nikolaus Grubeck and Anthony Jones.

US Senate Releases Open Letter Urging US States Department To Talk Egyptian Military Tyrant/Dictator al-Sisi Down from Passing New Constitution

(AI) – Egypt’s authorities must end their crackdown against critics who oppose amendments to the Egyptian constitution, proposed by members of parliament, that will strengthen impunity for human rights violations, said Amnesty International. Many of those who have criticized the changes have been arrested or publicly vilified in the media. The organization is today publishing an analysis of the constitutional amendments which are currently being discussed by the Egyptian parliament. If passed, these measures will undermine the independence of the judiciary, expand military trials for civilians and could allow President Abdel Fattah to stay in power until 2034.

Download Full Analysis Report: https://www.amnesty.org/download/Documents/MDE1201472019ENGLISH.pdf

If passed, these constitutional amendments would worsen the devastating human rights crisis Egyptians are already facing. They would grant President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi and security forces free rein to further abuse their powers and suppress peaceful dissent for years to come,” said Magdalena Mughrabi, Deputy Middle East and North Africa Director at Amnesty International. “The Egyptian parliament has a responsibility towards Egyptians to preserve what remains of the country’s judicial independence and adherence to international law and reject the proposed amendments.

A parliamentary vote on the amendments is due in the coming weeks and if passed – the new draft constitution will be put to a public referendum. “Since President al-Sisi came to power human rights in Egypt have catastrophically deteriorated. Egypt’s international allies must not stand by silently as the Egyptian authorities push through these amendments while bullying anyone who dares to criticize the changes into silence. In particular, the US authorities should use President al-Sisi’s visit to Washington DC this week to publicly condemn the proposed changes.” President al-Sisi is due to meet with President Donald Trump during a visit to Washington DC on 9 April.

In its analysis Amnesty International expresses concern that the amendments would strengthen the influence of the Egyptian military over government, remove the requirement for judicial review of draft legislation, as well as expanding notoriously unfair military trials for civilians and granting the President sweeping powers to manage judicial affairs and appoint senior judges.

Other amendments that have drawn criticism from opponents are the plans to extend the presidential term to six years and introduce a provision allowing President al-Sisi to run for two further presidential terms.

Crackdown targeting critics

The amendments have attracted considerable criticism including from a number of public figures, human rights organizations, political parties and the State Council Judges Club. The authorities have responded by intensifying their crackdown on freedom of expression, targeting people who have voiced opposition to the amendments with arbitrary arrest and detention, defamation and even cyber-attacks.

More than 57 people have been arrested so far in 2019, with Egyptian NGOs citing higher figures, for peacefully expressing their opinions or merely being perceived to do so – at least four of them for expressing their opposition to the constitutional amendments on social media. The arrests have followed a pattern repeatedly documented by Amnesty International whereby the victims are arrested without warrants in the early hours of the morning, before being forcibly disappeared for several days. They later reappear before a state security prosecutor who orders their detention pending investigation on charges of “membership in terrorist groups” and “disseminating false information.

Several public figures – including some members of parliament –  who have expressed their opposition to the amendments have been widely criticized in public and private media and been subjected to smear campaigns. Some opponents have faced homophobic slurs, as well as calls, including from fellow members of parliament, for their prosecution for “treason” and for their Egyptian nationality to be revoked.

Amnesty International has also documented a wave of phishing attacks, that likely originated from government backed bodies, targeting independent media organizations and human rights defenders who reported  on the authorities, including the role of the General Intelligence Service, in pushing for the constitutional amendments.

Translated Nile River Phishing Report: https://citizenlab.ca/2017/02/nilephish-report/

Last week, on 28 March, a court prevented activists from the Civil Democratic Movement, an opposition movement, from holding a protest against the constitutional amendments in front of parliament. Egypt’s Minister of Interior filed a request asking the court not to grant permission for the protest on the basis that it could “threaten public peace and security.” The court decision cited concerns that “anti-state elements may infiltrate the protest and assault the protestors, in order to frame security forces as assaulting protestors. The intimidation and harassment of people who peacefully express their opinions, including those critical of the constitutional amendments, has to end now,” said Magdalena Mughrabi.

Instead of stepping up this vicious crackdown against peaceful critics, Egypt’s authorities should scrap these amendments and ensure that any proposed future changes do not violate the country’s human rights obligations under international law.

Canada’s Democratic Institutions Minister Proposes New Laws To Regulate Social Media Apps Prior To October Elections

Earlier this morning, April 8th 2019, the Communications Signals Establishment (CSE) of Canada, a government agency tasked with the protection of the country’s communications networks and electronic information, released a 28 page report outlining all of the top cyber threats posed to Canada’s election infrastructure. According to the report, entitled “Cyber Threats To Canada’s Democratic Process,” chief among them are concerns that foreign actors will attempt to leverage social media applications as a means of effecting the outcome of the countries upcoming elections this October – similar in many ways to what was done to the United States in 2016.

As a result, Canada’s Democratic Institutions Minister, Karina Gould, is actively considering enacting new laws that would “regulate social media” – citing that social media companies appear to be incapable of self regulation themselves. What these new laws will look like remains to be seen, but Gould ended her speech stating that “Digital platforms are going to have to accept that they’re going to have to abide by domestic legislation from country to country around the world.

DC Capitol Police – FBI Foil Plot To Assassinate Congresswomen Ilhan Omar

As a proud and open supporter/member of the Anti-Fascism (ANTIFA) alliance, I am perhaps more aware than most that White Supremicism/Nationalism and neo-Nazism is alive an well in this country – a far greater/larger problem than anyone in the United States actually gives it credit for. In this spirit, this past Friday, April 4th 2019, the US Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) successfully foiled an assassination plot targeting Congresswomen Ilhan Omar (D-MI) – the second ever Muslim women elected to US Congress, and the first ever naturalized citizen of Africa to serve in US Congress.

The man behind the assassination plot was one Patrick Carlineo, a US citizen from upstate New York. According to reports, upon being interrogated, Carlineo told the FBI that he was “a patriot who loves Donald Trump” – whom “hates radical Muslim extremists serving in our Government.” Later going to state that “if our forefathers were still alive, the would’ve put a bulltet in her skull.” Consequentially enough, as phone transcripts intercepted by DC Capitol Police can attest, Carlineo threatened to do this very act for himself.

Patrick Carlineo was arrested Friday afternoon and is officially being charged with “threatening to murder a United States official with intent to impede, intimidate and interfere with such United States official while engaged in the performance of official duties.” You can read more about Capitol Police’s investigation and the charges against Carineo via the court documents provided below.

European Union Holds Cyber Drills To Test Preparedness for Cyber Attacks Ahead of Next Months Elections

Earlier today the European Parliament hosted “War Games” across Europe as a test to see how well Governments agencies were equipped/prepared to mitigate different cyber attacks and/or election interference techniques – should any present themselves during next months elections. Code named “EU ELEx19,” the first ever “EU Table-Top Exercise” was designed to find “ways to prevent, detect and mitigate cybersecurity incidents that may affect the upcoming EU elections” – after initial tests in September 2018 revealed several critical flaws/vulnerabilities in election protocols and systems. A detailed review/list of Septembers findings can be seen below.

Consequentially enough, the secondary objective of today’s drills was to determine how well EU Nation-States implemented security measures, mitigations and plans of actions given to them by Parliament in December 2018 – which were developed as a direct result of Septembers investigations. You can find the EU’s plan of action for fighting election interference, along with a press release recapping today’s tests/events below – enjoy!
