Criticisms of Israel May Soon Be Banned In all US Schools, New Freedom of Information Act Request Uncovers

A new string of emails won via a successful Freedom of Information Act request (FOIA) by Center for Media and Democracy (CMD) paints an interesting portrayal for the way talk or history of the Jewish people may soon be taught in US schools nation wide. Taken from an exchange involving a right-wing American group of lobbyists going by the name of the American Legislative Exchange Council (ALEC), the emails document how openly far right wing lobbyists are currently working to pass new legislation banning any negative reporting or criticisms of Israel in US schools headed into the future.

More specifically, ALEC wants US legislature to ban talk of “human rights investigations focusing specifically on Israel.” As well as ban any speech “demonizing Israel by blaming Israel for all inter-religious or political tensions” or “de-legitimizing Israel by questioning Israel’s right to exist.

Reportedly, state representatives/lawmakers from from Arkansas, Florida, Kansas, North Carolina, Oklahoma, and South Carolina, all Republic powerhouses, have all met with ALEC about approving these measures in their states as of August. In addition to the 9 lawmakers (below), similar emails were also send to to state lawmakers; A.D. Motzen, national director of state Relations at Agudath Israel of America; and Joseph Sabag Israeli-American Coalition (IAC) for Action – all dated August 2019. You are invited to read those emails by browsing or downloading the documents provided below – enjoy!

Pepe The Unredacted Frog Releases FBI Files of ‘The Dancing Israeli’s’ Won via Freedom of Information Act Request

So, here’s an interesting story that doesn’t appear to be getting much press anywhere – except by news outlets which have been banned off Facebook and Google 🤔. Regardless, it revolves around a new Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) request submitted to the FBI seeking information related to five individuals referred to as “The Dancing Israeli’s,” whom were detained by the FBI shortly after the 9/11 Terror attacks of September 11th 2001.

According to a previously redacted report released by the FBI in 2002, these 5 individuals arrived in a parking lot and began filming the Twin Towers up to 40 minutes prior to the first plane strike – indicating that the group had prior knowledge the attacks were immanent. As the rest of the footage shows, the group then proceeded to document the full attack from the parking garage – going as far as to begin dancing and celebrating wildly as the towers burned and collapsed in the background. While the group has since been forgotten, a later investigation revealed that at least two of the five men were active members of Mossad, Israeli Intelligence, whom were undercover on assignment in the US at the time. Moreover, one of the five men, Oded Ellner, also went on to directly state that they were only there in the first place to “document the event” – the terror attack itself.

View Redacted FBI Report – The Dancing Israeli’s 9/11/2001: https://archive.org/details/DancingIsraelisFBIReport

As it is now clear to see, Israeli intelligence was indeed aware of the 9/11 terror attack well before it occurred, begging the question why more wasn’t done to prevent it in the first place? While we may never know the answer to that question, a US citizen referring to themselves simply as “Pepe The Unredacted Frog” has just posted documents won via a recent FOIA request made with the FBI in regards to these five individuals – the dancing Israeli’s. Interestingly enough, despite the US Department of Justice previously claiming that pictures of the 5 individuals were destroyed as of 2014, the FBI released a series of redacted photos of the individuals in 2019 – fully redacting their facial expressions, presumably because some of them are/were active secret foreign agents.

The documents were released to the public for the first time on May 12th 2019, which you can access via their Twitter handle or download link below. Rogue Media Labs has also made the documents browse-able via the pdf embed also featured below.

The release is fairly interesting on many levels, chief of which is the fact that US allies were well aware of the terror attacks we before they happened – and that Israeli agents publicly celebrated the incidents. If you would like to learn more about the history surrounding these events or these people, you are invited to read an excellent report by Whitney Webb of Mintpress News featured below.

The Dark Side of War, How Losing Sides In Any Modern War/Battle are Using Social Media To Cast Victors In A Negative Light

For those of you whom might be unfamiliar with me or my previous work, I spent the better parts of July 2016 to February 2018 as a War reporter, primarily covering ongoing conflicts around South Sudan, Somalia, Gaza, Syria and Iraq. In fact, a large part of the reason why I shifted my writing towards hacking news over the time since is the fact that I just couldn’t take it any more – War reporting got so dark I just didn’t want to do it anymore, and wanted something a little more lighthearted to write about each morning.

Regardless, a couple weeks ago I started writing a new article I just didn’t have the heart to finish. Entitled “The Dark Side of War,” it discussed the phenomenon of how every party which losses a War, conflict or battle has quite a sad story to tell. As such, it is then fairly easy for any side which losses a War or battle to present “evidence” or a story line casting the victorious party in a rather negative or disgusting light – especially in the age of smart phones and social media. For this very reason, it is perhaps more important then ever to be critical or vigilant over any/all War coverage we consume. Perhaps put a different way, to take everything with a grain of salt.

So, what exactly am I talking about and why take the time to explain any of this? Well, as it turns out, on May 18th 2019 a new chemical weapons report from the Organisation for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons was leaked online exposing a false flag chemical weapons assault carried out at the hands of Syrian rebels, designed to make it look as though attack was actually launched by Bashar al-Assad.

Download/View Copy of Leaked Report: http://syriapropagandamedia.org/wp-content/uploads/2019/05/Engineering-assessment-of-two-cylinders-observed-at-the-Douma-incident-27-February-2019-1.pdf

[pdf-embedder url=”https://roguemedia.co/wp-content/uploads/2019/05/Engineering-assessment-of-two-cylinders-observed-at-the-Douma-incident-27-February-2019-1.pdf”%5D

Honestly, even if you are just hearing about this phenomenon for the first time here today, this is far from the first time Syrian rebels have done this. In fact, Syrian rebels are also known to have carried out false flag chlorine attacks in both Idlib and Aleppo. But lets not revisit ancient history – shall we? Instead, I would like to explain why people are doing this sort of thing in the first place.

To understand why, you first have to understand desperation. Imagine that you have been fighting a War for years on end, before realizing that you’re out of resources and your enemy has you just weeks away from full defeat. What would you do? As it turns out, especially in the age of social media, from Gaza to Syria, the losing sides in any/every battle have begun waging a propaganda War through the media – often times by showing grotesque or gruesome footage chronicling the aftermath of their defeats. Taken out of context, this could make any victorious party look like the bad guys – even if the losing factions were the aggressors all along.

After all, the Syrian Rebels are called “rebels” for a very real reason, they are the ones who rebelled against their Government and started this whole Civil War in the first place. Even though they are losing this War, don’t ever make the mistake of forgetting that no matter how much you may despise Bashar al-Assad, the Syrian rebels also have an awful lot of blood on their hands all the same.

Honestly, the more I start to write about this topic, the less I want to keep writing about it. It’s just hard not to begin to loose faith in the world. But, before wrapping up, what I want people to understand is what is actually going on here. Say for example in Palestine. Now, I for one am firmly behind the people of Palestine and support an end to Israel’s War in Gaza. But, even at that, I am also firmly aware of the propaganda campaigns being waged by Palestinians there – particularly during Israel’s assault on Gaza in 2014.

What you have to understand is that Palestinians know they have zero possibility of ever winning any War or Battle against Israel – at least by traditional means. Therefore, they have taken to unconventional means of waging warfare – Chealsae Manning’s leaks not withstanding. For example, one of Hamas’s tactics revolves around creating propaganda against Israel through social media – which is also why Israel has been trying to crack down on social media postings from Palestine so heavily over recent years. Usually this is done by showing the footage or pictures of dead, burned or bloody civilians – released for nothing other than pure shock value, to dehumanize their enemies actions.

For example, why do you think so many Palestinian civilians are lining up simply to be shot by Israel snipers? It’s because they want Israel to look as inhumane and extreme as possible in the media. Showing pictures of civilians with lost limbs, unarmed, losing those limbs due to their enemies certainly makes their enemies look extreme doesn’t it? But what you have to understand is that lining up to be shot is also extreme, just in a different context.

Now, for those of you whom might not be used to the Deep Web or DarkNet, or whom only get your news through any one of the 24 hours a day news channels, photo’s of dead people might seem pretty shocking or outrageous. But this is also the point. People are trying to offend you in hopes of falsely manipulating your opinion. But, the fact of the matter is that people die on both sides of every conflict. It just so happens that the losing side of any Battle or War just has a more tragic or bleak story to tell than its victors – and more evidence to show. However, it is important to understand that this does not make them any more justified in their campaigns, and it doesn’t even necessarily make them the victims either.

Often times, such as in the case of Syria’s rebels and/or Gaza’s Hamas, social media is being used as a weapon, in a last ditch effort to inspire more people around the world to sympathize with their losing effort or join their cause. In doing so, prolonging their battle/fight that much longer.

Anon Ghost Launches New Offensive Against The Israeli Government In Retaliation for Gaza Air Strikes

In response to Israel’s bombing campaign earlier this week, allegedly targeting Hamas cyber-actors plotting to carry out a cyber attack, setting a first of its kind precedent to kill someone for simply using a computer in a clear act of War, Anon Ghost has vowed to mount a new offensive against the Israeli Government for their actions. For example, over the course of the last 24-36 hours, Anon Ghost hackers have already taken half a dozen Israeli websites offline at different intervals – with more attacks promised on the way.

Here’s A Translated Version of Jared Kushner & Donald Trumps Leaked So-Called “Deal of The Century”

Here’s a translated leaked version of the so-called “Deal of The Century” that Donald Trump and Jared Kushner are actively presenting as a new Treaty to resolve the centuries long Israeli-Palestine national dispute. It should be noted that a final version of this leaked document was first published by Israel Hayom on April 7th 2019 – in Hebrew. For the purposes of an English speaking audience, Rogue Media Labs has done its best to translate the leaked document into English here today. Please note that there are some small idiosyncrasies in the Hebrew language that do not translate to English, such as their alphabet and lettering system. Also note that this is only a preliminary draft, and the final proposal will not be presented for about another month.

Middle East Peace Plan – According To Trump Administration:

1. Agreement

A tripartite agreement will be signed between Israel, Palestine and Hamas, and a Palestinian state will be established, which will be called ‘New Palestine,’ which will be established on Judea, Samaria and Gaza, with the exception of the existing settlements.

2. Evacuation of land

The settlement as they exist today will remain in the hands of Israel and will be joined by new settlements. The areas where these development will grow is dependent on the area of the isolated settlements that will be conjoined them.

3. Jerusalem

Will not be divided and shared by Israel and tNew Palestine, it will be the capital of Israel and New Palestine, and the Arab inhabitants will be the citizens of New Palestine – not Israel. The Jerusalem Municipality will be responsible for all areas of Jerusalem, except education of the residents of New Palestine – which will be the responsibility of the Palestinian government.

The new Palestinian Authority will pay the Jerusalem Municipality municipal taxes and water.

Jewish people will not be allowed to buy Arab homes, and Arabs will not be allowed to buy Jewish homes. No additional areas will be annexed to Jerusalem. Visitation rights to The Holy Places will remain as they are today.

4. Gaza

Egypt will lease new land to Palestine for the purpose of establishing an airport for the establishment of factories and commerce and for agriculture, other than housing. The size of the territories and the price will be determined between the parties through the mediation of the supporting countries (an explanation for the countries that support the continuation of the road).

5. The supporting countries

The countries that will financially support the implementation of this agreement are: the United States, the European Union and the oil-producing Gulf states.

The supporting countries will provide a budget of $ 30 billion over five years for national projects for New Palestine. (The cost of evacuating the isolated settlements and their location in the settlement areas will apply to Israel).

6. The division between the supporting countries

A. USA 20%
B. EU 10%
Third. The oil producing Gulf states – 70% – will be divided according to their oil production.
D. Most of the burden on oil producing countries is because they will be the main beneficiaries of this agreement.

7. Army

New Palestine would not be allowed to form an army. The only weapon allowed by New Palestine authorities would be light weapons held by the police.

A defense agreement will be signed between Israel and New Palestine, in which Israel will guarantee New Palestine from all external aggression and New Palestine will pay Israel for this protection.

The cost of this payment shall be in negotiations between the parties, mediated by the supporting countries.

8. Timelines and stages of execution

Upon signing the agreement:

A. Hamas will deposit all its weapons, including the personal weapons of the Egyptians.
B. Hamas members, including the leaders, will continue to receive salaries from the supporting countries until the establishment of the new government.
Third. All the borders of the Strip will be open to the passage of goods and workers to Israel and Egypt as they are today with Judea and Samaria and by sea.
D. Within a year, democratic elections will be held and a new government will be elected to Govern the territory of New Palestine. Every Palestinian citizen will be able to stand for election.

God. Prisoners – One year after the elections and the establishment of the government, currentl Palestinian prisoners of Israel will be released gradually for three years. Within five years, a seaport and airport will be established in New Palestine and by then the airport in Israel and the seaports in Israel will be used.

G. The borders between the new Palestine and Israel will be open to the passage of citizens and goods as is the case with friendly countries.
H. The bridge will come from: China 50%, Japan 10%, South Korea 10%, Australia 10%, Canada 10%, the United States and the European Union 10%.

9. The Jordan Valley

A. The Jordan Valley will remain in the hands of Israel as it is today.
B. Route 90 will turn into a four-lane toll road.
Third. Israel will issue a tender for paving the road.
D. Will give two crossings from New Palestine to Jordan, these crossings will be under the control of New Palestine.

10. Liability

A. If Hamas and Shas object to this agreement, the US will cancel all their financial support to the Palestinian people and ensure that no country in the world transfers any money to them.
B. If the PLO agrees to the terms of this agreement and Hamas or Islamic Jihad do not agree, the leaders of Hamas and Islamic Jihad will be held responsible and in the event of another round of violence between Israel and Hamas, the US will back Israel to personally harm Hamas and Islamic Jihad leaders.
Third. If Israel objects to this agreement, all economic support for Israel will cease.

Infamous/Notorious Hacker Forum Known as Dark0de Comes Back Online Under New Ownership

Roughly 3 years after first being taken down by European/international police in 2016, the infamous hacking forum known as “Dark0de” has officially come back online. For those of you whom may be unfamiliar with the sites legacy/history, originally founded in 2007, Dark0de went on become perhaps the single largest and most notorious hacking forum in the world up until the time of its closing just a few years ago. In fact, as described by Europol, the police organization which initially closed it, “Darkode is the most prolific English-speaking cybercriminal forum to date.

The operation to close the forum, originally code-named “Operation Shrouded Horizon” by the FBI, ultimately resulted in the arrests of 70 people across 20 countries – including Denmark, Germany, India, Israel, Romania, Sweden, and the UK. At the time, then US Attorney General, Leslie Caldwell, called the closing of Dark0dea milestone in our efforts to shut down criminals’ ability to buy, sell, and trade malware, botnets and personally identifiable information used to steal from US citizens and individuals around the world.” Also stating how she believed that “this operation is a great example of what international law enforcement can accomplish when we work closely together to neutralize a global cyber-crime marketplace.

Today however, the site is now being managed by “Hitman,” the owner of Dark0de, as well as “Ownz” – the leader/founder of New World Hackers. At the current moment in time the site and its forums are back online and open for business – featuring categories/information such as leaks, forum resources, webmasters, malware, exploits & 0days, cracking, hacking, technology and gaming – among many more.

Access Website: https://dark0de.net/
Online Chat Affiliated w/ Dark0de: https://discord.gg/hBcze2E

In statements made available to Rouge Media Labs, Dark0de‘s developers explained how “we plan to bring back Dark0de to give hackers a place to go to look for accounts, tools, proxies, methods, and configs – not to mention email:username combinations for cracking accounts.” According to Ownz, “the goal is to become the #1 hacking forum once again like done in the past back in 2013-2015.” Adding that “the reason we waited three years is because we were aware that there was an investigation ongoing because the actual original owner of the site was not ‘Hitman‘ but it was ‘Obstriegel‘ aka ‘Sp3cial1st‘ and we didn’t want the same troubles as he had trying to cover up what he had created.

While the forum used to be associated almost primarily with the DarkNet, it is now freely available across the ClearNet. Aside from a change of ownership, the sites current developers claim that “nothing has changed, but we did add more site categories for Malware, Exploits, and the Marketplace” – etc. For example, the forum has already been restored to its previous version – with over 12,000 registered users, featuring +55,000 postings across +6,000 different threads.

For those of you whom might not be aware, April 7th 2019 marks the beginning of something known as “Operation Israel 2019” (#OpIsrael), an annual Anonymous operation launched in solidarity with the oppressed people of Palestine. Traditionally ran by “Nama Tikure” and “Anonymous RedCult” throughout years past, this years operation is a bit different – largely decentralized and being led by “AnonGhost, the Cyber Caliphate and different factions of pro-Palestinian hackers from around the world. So far a list of 106 Government targets have been posted online and in the early morning hours of the day, several attacks have already hit Israel – more on that below.

As Palestinians Celebrate The Great March of The Return Again Tomorrow, Here’s A Remembrance To Israeli War Crimes Dating Back Nearly One Year Ago To The Day

(HRW) – On Saturday, March 30th 2019, Palestinians in Gaza will head to the fences with Israel that effectively serve as their prison walls to mark one year since they began weekly demonstrations against Israel’s more than decade-long closure of Gaza.

The protests, known as the “Great March of Return,” commemorate the expulsion and flight of hundreds of thousands of Palestinian refugees when Israel was established in 1948. Today, the majority of Gaza’s population are these refugees or their descendants, all of whom the United Nations considers refugees.

Israeli forces fire tear gas towards Palestinian demonstrators near the fences separating Gaza and Israel, as seen from the Israeli side, on March 30, 2018. © 2018 Reuters

The United Nations Commission of Inquiry on the 2018 Gaza protests determined that Israeli forces had killed 189 protesters in 2018 and wounded more than 6,000 with live fire between March 30 and December, “many while standing hundreds of meters from the snipers.” The snipers, as one commissioner put it, “shot at unarmed protesters, children and disabled persons, and at health workers and journalists performing their duties, knowing who they are.

Download Full Investigative Report From United Nations Here: https://www.ohchr.org/Documents/HRBodies/HRCouncil/CoIOPT/A_HRC_40_74.pdf

The commissioners concluded that, while demonstrations were “at times violent,” 187 of those killings were unlawful cases in which protesters didn’t pose an imminent threat to life or where force was “neither necessary nor proportional” and that Israeli forces may have committed war crimes and crimes against humanity.

Human Rights Watch did not investigate every case, but found that Israeli forces repeatedly fired on protesters who posed no imminent threat to life, pursuant to expansive open-fire orders from senior officials that contravene international human rights law standards, acts that may amount to war crimes, since international humanitarian law applies given Israel’s continuing effective control over Gaza.

Every protester has their own story: a footballer I spoke with who was shot in the leg and was awaiting treatment outside of Gaza so he could again play the game he loved. A photojournalist friend struck in the eye by a teargas canister while covering a demonstration in December and unable to work since his injury. But there were common threads: barely getting by economically, never having left Gaza, yearning for the chance to live in a dignified manner. Will anyone listen?

Representative Ted Lieu Introduces US-Israel Directed Energy Cooperation Act, Authorizing Pentagon To Begin Testing/Deployment of Direct Energy Weapons Across Middle East

I am writing this article here today because I was fooled, and have been fooled all along. For those of you whom are not been aware, something referred to as “Direct Energy Weapons” have long since been rumored to have existed, but only on fringe back-page style websites – often peddled by end-timers and/or conspiracy theorists alike. For this every reason, I have always dismissed the notion of them as nothing more than nonsense –  but apparently I was wrong.

I bring this up because last week, March 15th 2019, representative Ted Lieu (D-CA) officially introduced a new bill entitled the “United States-Israel Directed Energy Cooperation Act” – otherwise known as H.R.6725. According to a press release dated March 14th made available on his website “the legislation authorizes the Department of Defense to carry out bilateral cooperation with Israel to develop directed energy capabilities that address threats to both nations.” More specifically, the bill provides a significant budget for the Pentagon “to carry out research, development, test, and evaluation activities, on a joint basis with Israel, to establish directed energy capabilities that address threats to the United States, deployed forces of the United States, or Israel, and for other purposes.” Specifying that “Directed energy weapons include laser weapons and particle beams; they are highly destructive but embraced by militaries for their infinite magazines and incredible speed and range.”

Its Not Just Israel, Hamas Has Begun Detained Hundreds In Gaza for Protesting Their Rule

(AI) – Hamas security forces’ violent crackdown against peaceful Palestinian protesters, activists, human rights workers – including an Amnesty International worker – and local journalists must be immediately halted and investigated, said Amnesty International. Hundreds of protesters have been subjected to beatings, arbitrary arrest and detentions, and torture and other forms of ill-treatment since 14 March, when Palestinians took to the streets across the Gaza Strip to protest against the rising cost of living and deteriorating economic conditions under the Hamas de facto administration.

Today, an Amnesty International Research Consultant, Hind Khoudary, has been detained and interrogated by the security forces of the Ministry of Interior for working with Amnesty International. Her interrogation lasted for three hours during which four male interrogators subjected her to ill-treatment. The interrogators used abusive language and warned her not to carry out human rights research and threatened to prosecute her for spying and working as a foreign agent.

The crackdown on freedom of expression and the use of torture in Gaza has reached alarming new levels. Over the past few days, we have seen shocking human rights violations carried out by Hamas security forces against peaceful protesters, journalists and rights workers,” said Saleh Higazi, Deputy Middle East and North Africa Director at Amnesty International. “It is clear that Hamas security forces are trying to stop human rights defenders from carrying out the vital work of documenting and reporting on the severe violations they are perpetrating during this ongoing violent and arbitrary crackdown. We are sending a clear message to the Gaza authorities today that we are watching and we will work to ensure that all those responsible for these violations are held to account.

The human rights violations perpetrated by Hamas forces against peaceful protesters, journalists, and human rights defenders in Gaza are the most severe for more than a decade.

Protesting hunger and taxation

The latest round of repression by Hamas began on 10 March 2019, when 13 activists planning demonstrations to protest the high cost of living in Gaza were arrested during a private meeting at a house belonging to the activist Jihad Salem al-Arabeed in the town of Jabalya, in the northern Gaza Strip. The arrest came after the group launched a social media campaign titled ‘The revolt of the hungry’ and ‘Down with price hikes,’ calling for a protest on Thursday, 14 March 2019 in Jabalya.

Security forces stormed into the house without an arrest warrant. The activists were subjected to torture and other ill-treatment in detention. On 12 March, they were released with a warning not to continue with their plans.

On the afternoon of 14 March 2019, Hamas security forces – some dressed in civilian clothes – violently attacked hundreds of peaceful demonstrators in Jabalya refugee camp, Deir al-Balah camp, al-Boreij camp and Rafah using sound grenades, batons, pepper spray, live ammunition and physical assaults.

Human rights workers and journalists targeted

On 15 March, Hamas forces raided a house in Deir Al-Balah camp belonging to a local journalist, Osamah Al-Kahlout. Inside the house were the Director of the Independent Commission for Human Rights (ICHR), Jamil Sarhan, and ICHR lawyer Baker Al-Turkmani. Both human rights workers, who had been monitoring the protests, were beaten and hospitalized and their mobile phones were confiscated. After identifying themselves to the security officers who raided the house, Sarhan and Turkmani were taken outside and repeatedly punched.

On 16 March, Hamas security forces in Gaza arrested a number of human rights defenders while they were working in the Al-Shujayya neighbourhood, east of Gaza city. The four reportedly detained were: Samir Al-Mana’ama, lawyer at Al Mezan Center for Human Rights (Al Mezan); Khaled Abu Isbetan, fieldworker at Al Mezan; Sabreen Al-Tartour, field worker at the Palestinian Center for Human Rights; and Fadi Abu Ghunaima, field worker at Al Dameer Association for Human Rights in Gaza.

Meanwhile, several journalists across Gaza were beaten, detained and were forbidden from documenting the demonstrations. Many journalists, lawyers and NGO workers were reportedly summoned for interrogation after recording testimonies on the conduct of the Hamas police.

The Hamas de facto administration must immediately launch an independent, thorough and transparent investigation into the unnecessary and excessive use of force, arbitrary arrest and detention, and torture and other ill-treatment by security forces. Where there is sufficient admissible evidence, suspected perpetrators should be prosecuted in fair trials,” said Saleh Higazi. “The authorities in Gaza have a duty to ensure that journalists and human rights defenders are free to carry out their work without threat, intimidation, or abuse; failure to protect such activities and deliberate interference in their work is a flagrant violation of international law.

According to multiple sources, this past weekend, April 2nd 2019, unknown hackers launched a massive attack against the Hebrew based website known as Nagich, a web hosting platform utilized by more than 1 millions businesses/users across the Middle East – including Partner, 012 Mobile and Golan Telecom, Hapoalim Bank, Clinique, Estee Lauder, McDonalds, Subaru, Fiverr and Coca-Cola. For a period of time greater than 1 hour, hackers were able to poison Nagich‘s Domain Name Servers (DNS) and intercept/re-route all traffic flowing through them. In doing so, every visitor to a website hosted by Nagich, of which there are literally over 1 million, were re-directed to blank websites reading “Palestine is the Capital of Jerusalem.

Analyzing the attack a little further, it appears as though it wasn’t the hackers primary intent just to hijack, deface and re-route internet traffic in the region. Rather, it appears to be a failed attempt to deliver ransomware to every person unfortunate enough to have visited a site hosted by Nagich during the time of the attack. Once again, considering that the Nagich hosts over 1 million domains, the ransomware attacks could have theoretically compromised untold millions of people in just 1-2 hours time, which would have made it one of the single largest ransomware attacks in history.

For example, for a period of 1-2 hours, every visitor of a website hosted by Nagich was exposed to an auto-loading piece of malware crafted via JavaScript, attempting to deliver the following payload…

Malware Payload: hxxp://185.163.47.134/flashplayer_install.exe
Analysis of Ransomware: https://www.hybrid-analysis.com/sample/d7e118a3753a132fbedd262fdf4809a76ce121f758eb6c829d9c5de1ffab5a3b?environmentId=100

In statements to Noticia de Israel, according to Nagich, “the hackers entered the company’s DNS [Domain Name System] records and changed the number indicating Nagich’s domain name to redirect Nagich’s traffic to its own malicious server. And since all the companies that use Nagich used the same Javascript access code, all the pages of the clients’ websites that were not sufficiently protected were exposed.” However, at this moment in time there are no reports that anyone successfully downloaded the ransomware file, and despite the defacement of greater than 1 million websites via a singular attack, Israeli authorities are doing their best to spin the hack as a “failed attack.

Don’t get it twisted however, a defacement of +1 million websites in a single night is certainly world class. Moreover, given the US’s DNS hijacking during January and this most recent DNS attack of Israel in March, I’m going to go out on a limb and state that DNS poisoning attacks are only going to become more and more prevalent as we move forward throughout 2019 and beyond. You have been warned.
